New location for Weekly/Monthly(?) tournaments.

Since the sponsorship with GamerDoc fell apart, along with the closing of the springfield store, we have ben looking for a new location to host the GMM or possibly a weekly tournament. Well it appears we just did that and soon I will post the announcement after it becomes official.

So keep your eyes peeled for a future announcement.

The NorthEast Championship XI (NECXI)

Once again GVN will be at NEC to support and help run the event. The tournament will be held Dec 4th and 5th at the Sheraton Suites Hotel in Philly. I will be running the big side room myself once again housing all the 3D fighters like Tekken 6, Soul Calibur 4, DOA and Virtua Fighter 5. Whats coming up on GVN.

Ok so for now there won't be any GMM tournaments. At least until October. Also I am working on the Episode 3 of Lost gems. Also I am super excited for Metroid other M. I will probably start doing game reviews again since I haven't done so in nearly 4 years. So there are many great things to look forward to on the GVN.

New stream.

To be honest I had it with Justin.tv. They keep playing around with the sites design and everytime they change the layout they try to make a friendly and easy to use broadcast option. Well to be honest its too simplistic and I would rather save the cpu usage and not use FMLE and have IE open just to chat with people.

So I made the switch to Ustream and to be honest its ten times better. I was having issues with my stream looking really choppy and for awhile I thought it was my laptop. Well its not. Turns out Justin.tv just has a crappy encoder. So from now on I will be streaming my casuals sessions and tournaments on Ustream.tv
