Super Smash Bros. Melle added to the Winter Brawl.

Originally Super Smash Bros. Brawl was added but it was replaced with Melee when it got pushed back to March 9th. SO here are the rules, time slot and entry fee for SSBM.

Time: 3:00pm~
entry fee: $10
SSBM Ruleset:
-No wireless or 3rd party controllers
-4 stock
-2/3 sets
-3/5 finals
-8 minute time limit
-double elim
-Items off
-Ties broken by lives, then %
-First stage agreed upon or random
-DSR (Dave's stupid rule) - No stage may be used twice in a single set if the counter-picking player has already won on that stage.
-Wobbling banned
-constant excessive match stalling or running away to win a match is banned. First time is warning, second time is disqualification.
-The Ice Climber Freeze Glitch is banned
-Jigglypuff's rising pound stall is banned
-Peach's bomber stall beneath levels where she is unreachable is banned (example: FoD)

GVN's East Coast Winter Brawl Feb 23rd, 2008

GVN returns to bring you the East Coast Winter Brawl. It will be held Saturday, February 23rd, 2008 at SOR Gaming in Wilming, DE.

There will be a Regular and Tag Team(singles) Tournament for DOA4. There will be a singles tournament for Virtua Fighter 5 , Tekken 5 DRStreet Fighter 3, and Guilty Gear XX AC.

Train From Philly: Either goto 30th st, Market East or Suburban Station and take the R7 regional Rail to Wilmington Delaware. Afterwards please either contact me or somehow you know that will be tehre and we will happily pick you up. Or you can take the bus and we can pick you up from the closest stop to the venue. So sorry for having a few months on inactiveness but I am back. And today at GVN we are going to have a look back at one of the oddest and most original games released for the Nintendo Entertainment System, A Boy and His Blob. A game that as the years passed, more and more people became aware of this game but still forgot about.

I'm not gone I am still around. I haven't been around the past 3 weeks because it was crunch time. I got married two fridays ago(Sept 7th). Anyway things have settled down somewhat and I will return to setting up the last GVN event of the year, actually write up my next lost gems article and get back to work on GVN as a whole.

GVN Summer Bash Tournament Aug 11th.

Here is some update info on the next majopr tournament being held at Virtual Rush.

*NOTE* The event was pushed back to the following saturday to not conflict with The World Cyber Games.*

The Summer Bash will be held Saturday August 11th, 2007 at the Virtual Rush Cyber Cafe in Media, PA. In the Granite Run Mall Parking Lot.

There will be a Regular and Tag Team(singles) Tournament for DOA4. There will be a singles tournament for both Virtua Fighter 5 and Tekken 5 DR.

Registration will be at 12pm. The show will begin at 2pm. Show up at least an hour early for registration.

Directions via train and bus from Center city Philly.

Take the R3 train towards Media/Elwyn. Hop off the train at Elwyn station. Walk to the bus stop and take the northbound 117 bus. The next stop is to the granite run mall. Get off at the mall and walk to the AMC theatre. Virtual Rush is located behind the AMC theatre.

Housing for travellers,

Good news. I may have either an Apartment or a house by August so there is a chance that I might be able to house a few. I will ask if Kchan will be happy to help out as well. Stay tuned.
