Nintendo @ E3 Preview!

Another year has past and it is now time to get ready for E3!  In the next few days, we will finally see what the new video games that are being created, will look like and hopefully have some information about their release days.  I am super excited for this years E3 because of 2 reasons, 1. As a part of GVN I get to express my thoughts and have all you wonderful readers understand what I am feeling and 2. there should be an announcement for the new Legend of Zelda game coming out for the Wii U!

This article is strictly going to be about Nintendo because it is what I have been focusing on mostly since Sony and Microsoft have already released new systems in the last year and I believe there shows will mostly be upcoming games and where they will take their system.  For Nintendo, I believe that they will be focusing on ways to show that the Wii U and the 3DS are powerhouse systems with great games and to show that the trademark games and series for Nintendo will outshine all others.

Speaking of trademark series and games for Nintendo, I have been following some leaked documents about what will be on the floor of E3 as either demos or previews of some of their upcoming games and it looks like we will be seeing some memorable games and series re-done and having some new stories in the franchises that we love.  From what I have read their are quite a few games that will make fans drool and say "Alright Nintendo here is my money!"  The only sad part about this whole E3 is that we will have to wait to actually get our hands on these notable games.  So without rambling on about nonsense here are some Nintendo exclusives that should be at E3, 3DS: Dragon Quest VII, Fossil Fighters, Pokemon Omega Ruby & Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Project S.T.E.A.M., and Super Smash Bros.  For the Wii U: Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors, The Legend of Zelda: Unbound King, Mario Party 10, Nintendo U, Pokken Fighter Tournament, Pushmo World, Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem, Wii U HD Collection: which includes Super Mario Sunshine HD and Wave Race: Blue Storm HD, and Yarn Yoshi.

Okay so now that I have given you the list of games that should be at the convention, let's discuss some of the ones that really grab my eye.  I first just want to apologize if I don't go over something that some readers may be more interested in but I don't want to bore anyone by making this article longer than it has to be.  Now for the 3DS some things that I am extremely excited for are the remakes of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright and Super Smash Bros. because of being a fan of every game in all of their own series.  With Pokemon, I have been playing since the original and I have always loved when they remade the older versions because it is always so much fun to play.  Professor Layton has always been a favorite in my heart and I have been hearing rumors for probably the last year or two that they were going to try and combine the series with Phoenix Wright.  My biggest concern for the game is the play style that they are going to do.  Since playing both games I have seen many differences in the play style and I don't want them to favor one more than the other.  Can't wait to learn more from Nintendo about their plans.  Smash Bros will no doubt blow my mind especially with what Nintendo has already announced with some of the new playable characters.  I think that Megaman is a great addition to the game but not so sure about the Wii Fit characters.  I really hope that we will get to see lots of videos on these games and I will try my best to find them and post on the site for all the readers.

With the Wii U, I believe that sales will increase for Nintendo because they have some blockbuster titles to announce and it should definitely show how great of a system it actually has been.  I've loved my Wii U since I got it but unfortunately it hasn't been until recently that I've been playing a lot mainly because a lot of the titles didn't impress me.  This year though, I am ecstatic about the system and for great reason.  Look up at those titles to be announced!  Legend of Zelda: Unbound King is my  most important title since I have been a huge fan of the series my whole life.  I remember screenshots being showed on the internet but no one ever said whether or not they were legit.  Finally, we will all get to see some gameplay on this new game in an iconic series.  The HD remakes have been going strong for many video game series and even though it might not be the best Mario game ever, I am glad that there will be a Super Mario Sunshine remake.  Also we have heard from Nintendo before E3 about Hyrule Warriors and that it will be a Dynasty Warriors style game with Nintendo characters and I couldn't be more excited.  Dynasty Warriors is known for it's hack and slash combo of moves taking out enemies.  I couldn't think of a greater set of characters to do that style than what Nintendo is coming up with for the Wii U.  I would love to be Link slashing through enemy after enemy and have a 200 hit combo.  I just hope that the story or stories depending on what the playable characters are will keep everyone wanting to play it.

So within the next few days we will finally get some concrete info from E3 and be able to run and pre-order all the games that we want to sink our teeth into.  Also I promise to find some gameplay footage and try and post on the site for everyone to see.
